For the excavation of sand and gravel BEYER manufactures mechanical mining equipment, namely the MULTI-BUCKET and GRAB DREDGER.

Multi-bucket dredgers are designed as floating or ashore plants. They are different in the size of the buckets and therefore in the capacity. Ashore multi-bucket dredgers reach a depth of 12m. In exeptional cases 15m.

Floating multi-bucket dredgers reach a depth of 18 m. In exeptional cases more than 20m.

Grab dredgers are designed as floating plants. They have a grab size between 4 and 15 cbm.
Small plants up to 4,5 cbm are designed as a boom-version, bigger ones are designed as a crab-version.
The capacity depends on the excavation depth (up to more than 100 m).
